Human Edge Health is seeking an experienced Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This is a day shift position working 3x12s. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, strong leadership, and compassionate care to a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care by adhering to individualized nursing care plans and supervising support staff including LPNs, CNAs, and orientees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete a comprehensive nursing assessment within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans

• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and provide timely, accurate updates on patient status

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)

• Provide patient/family education with a focus on rehabilitation and discharge readiness

• Initiate and contribute to discharge planning starting on the day of admission

• Communicate critical patient information during handoffs to ensure continuity and safety

• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel appropriately

• Promote a safe patient care environment and follow hospital policies and procedures

• Collaborate with unit leadership to ensure resources and equipment are available and functioning

• Assume charge responsibilities when assigned

• Maintain timely and thorough documentation in the medical record

• Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional growth and continuing education

• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet patient needs and unit goals

• Support team-building and a positive unit culture

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in LTAC, step-down, med/surg, or critical care preferred

• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
