RN - Registered Nurse

• 36-hour work week schedule
• Day shift position
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient assessments
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees
• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on an assigned unit
• Provide patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide patient teaching in anticipation of discharge
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to attending physicians and Charge Nurses
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• May assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
• Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience highly desired
• Required certifications: BLS (required prior to first shift), ACLS (required prior to first shift for CIRH only)
• New Jersey state license required
