Overview
Automotive / Diesel Technician role at Transdev North America in Atlantic City, NJ
. The schedule is Monday - Friday, full time 40 hours per week.
- $28.00 - $36.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
- 3% increase each year of employment
- Vacation: up to 14 days after one year of employment
- Holiday: 14 days
- Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly for full-time employees / 5 hrs monthly for part-time employees

- Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement
- Perform repairs and replacements on automotive engines, ensuring optimal functionality
- Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance
- Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine repair strategies for diesel engines
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications
- Other duties as required
- Dodge, Chevy, Ford experience preferred
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided
- Mechanic’s Tool Set
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable
- Work outside in varying temperatures and weather conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours); frequently walk long distances; work on sloped ground or uneven surfaces
- Push/pull objects; lift up to 50 lbs; may bend, kneel, or crouch to access equipment
- Work in high-traffic areas with exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
