Position Title:
Staff Accountant

Praesum currently provides services to behavioral health facilities providing all levels of care from inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse detoxification, through SUD and mental health outpatient clinics.
This position supports the Finance and Accounting teams in the daily functions for the Company and all Affiliates by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
- Prepare daily deposit reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist with the closing of monthly and annual financial periods, including:
- a) Preparing and posting journal entries.
- b) Balance sheet reconciliations.
- c) Income statement reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing and filing sales tax returns.
- Assist with preparing and providing supporting documentation to external parties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2-4 years’ experience in corporate finance and accounting.
- Great Plains.
- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Proficient use & analysis of computer models and development of dynamic spreadsheet applications.
- Strong accounting skills with knowledge of GAAP.
- Has a strong aptitude for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Team player, with an ability to excel in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize demanding projects.
- Prior healthcare experience preferred but is not required.
