  • Manage and upgrade site wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring optimal capacity and strict compliance with local, provincial/state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Prepare bid documents, select contractors, and oversee on-site construction to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and without disrupting ongoing plant production.
  • Work closely with Process Engineers, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to ensure all structural and civil modifications align with Lean manufacturing principles and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF).
  • Conduct regular structural assessments of the plant, roof systems, and site grounds (paving, storm water management) to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • On-site in a manufacturing environment with exposure to plant operations.
  • Exposure to external climate conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Strong understanding of industrial wastewater management, hygienic facility design, structural load analysis, and construction management.
  • Knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and food safety standards (CFIA, FDA, HACCP) as they pertain to facility design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar drafting and design software.
  • Criminal Record Checks are required for successful applicants.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
