Senior Accountant

Praesum currently provides services to behavioral health facilities providing all levels of care from inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse detoxification, through SUD and mental health outpatient clinics.

• Oversee the closing of monthly and annual financial periods, including:
  • a) Preparation of journal entries.
  • b) Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • c) Income statement reconciliations.
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Oversee daily accounting functions, including:
  • a) Accounts payable.
  • b) Cash receipts.
• Preparation of financial analyses requested by external financial advisors, auditors and parties in interest.
• Supervise and mentor staff.
• Assist with account audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in corporate finance and accounting.
• Great Plains.
• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong writing skills.
• Strong accounting skills and GAAP proficiency.
• Prior experience with budgeting, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Understanding of the key operational performance drivers of a healthcare business.
• Leadership and staff management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize demanding projects.
