POSITION SUMMARY:

This position provides front-desk reception duties with general office support. The position also provides thorough review of services documented in the electronic health record to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with Medicaid standards.

The position requires an ability to attend to detail and communicate effectively with employees regarding their submitted service documentation as well as external auditing sources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet public in person and on the telephone, provide general information, answer questions and direct individuals to appropriate Pathway staff; take and deliver messages.

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support for personnel in Administrative Services.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining accurate and complete client Medicaid files in the Electronic Health Record.

  • Perform various record maintenance.

  • Display vigilant and comprehensive efforts to maintain confidentiality and security of protected health information, paper files and computer data.

  • Perform quality assurance processes for service documentation to ensure it meets the standards set forth by Medicaid.

    This may include checking for spelling, grammar, ensuring information is clear and easy to understand, verifying accuracy of dates and times, etc.

  • Provide training regarding service documentation to direct care staff.

  • Perform other office duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associates Degree

  • Excellent Verbal and Written Skills

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records

  • Flexible, Positive Attitude, Team player

  • 8 hour shift (8 AM- 4:30 PM)
