Lawn Care Technician

Southern Lawn & Pest is a locally owned and operated company, serving Tipton, Shelby, and Fayette counties in West Tennessee. We are looking for an energetic, honest, reliable, and self‑motivated individual who wants to work hard and be paid for their productivity. The harder you work, the more money you will make.

Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $23.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Pay Scale:
For people with no experience we start at $15/hour. Once certified in C03 and C07, you will be paid $18/hour and when you get your own route, you will be paid a percentage of the work you get done.

• Visually inspect and treat lawns for weeds
• Operate equipment to apply fertilizers and pesticides
• Maintain good customer relationships
• Maintain chemical records according to state requirements
• Participate in team meetings
• Complete certification and continuing education requirements
• Thoroughly explain to the customer the expectations for services and procedures
• Keep our equipment and vehicles clean and in good working condition

• Honest, Reliable and Dependable
• C03 and C07 certified with the state of TN (you do not have to be certified to apply)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Able to walk customer property while carrying or pushing equipment weighing over 70 pounds for long periods of time in hot or cold temperatures
• Show up to work on time and ready to work every day you are scheduled

You can expect to work between 30 to 50 hours per week. Monday through Friday with some Saturdays required.
