Within a high volume setting, provides support functions to the clinical and administrative staff; ensures attention to detail and aids in the completion of patient charging, abstracting, and insurance referrals.
Evening hours 2 nights a week
** Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/

Experience:

*** One to three years previous experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant/Secretary in a healthcare practice (therapy/rehab dept, physicians practice or other clinic environment)
* Excellent communication, organization and multitasking skills.
* Knowledge of insurance processes, benefit verification, and therapy authorization requirements strongly preferred.
* Proficient in EMR systems, scheduling software.
* Ability to work as team member in a fast-paced, patient focused environment.

** Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/

Experience:

*** Knowledge of medical terminology, understanding of rehab services strongly preferred.
* Computer skills
