Sr. Manager, Search and Recruiting - SDL Search Partners
This Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to the finance team of a global manufacturing company, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong cost and inventory accounting practices, and effective execution of the month‑end close. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and global finance teams to support business performance and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
- Perform and oversee cost accounting activities, including standard costing, inventory valuation, overhead absorption, and variance analysis.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries; perform detailed balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, impairments, and disposals.
- Prepare internal and external financial reports in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Support internal and external audits, SOX/internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to operations and management.
- Collaborate with global finance teams and support multi‑entity and intercompany accounting activities.
- Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and ERP‑related initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred.
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong manufacturing and cost accounting background.
- Hands‑on experience with inventory and fixed assets in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal control practices.
- Experience working in a global, multi‑entity organization.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Oracle experience preferred not required).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
