This is a Per Diem/unbenefited position for a 24 hour department. Hours are varied – day, evening or night shifts depending on the need. Hours could be scheduled to fill vacation requests, leave of absence, an open shift or last‑minute coverage for a sick call.

Responsible for registering patients and updating information in the patient’s electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor
• Professional handling of all interactions within a fast‑paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment
• Critical thinking in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

• Minimum two years of computer experience
• Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Salary Range

$18.99-$23.07
