Position: Histotech, (Per Diem)

Performs a variety of routine and specialized histological tests for pathological interpretation.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience as a histotechnician or histotechnologist in a hospital laboratory setting.
• Successful completion of histology technician / technologist training program.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

• Excellent command of oral and written English; operation of equipment; positive interpersonal and communication skills.

Educational Requirements

• AS and three years of histology experience, or BA and one year of histology experience, or meet the qualification as outlined in 42 CFR 493.1449.
• Meet the qualifications for moderate complex testing as outlined in 42 CFR 493.1449 of the Federal Register.

License/Certification

• HT or HTL (ASCP); MT or MLT (ASCP); MT (HHS).

Salary Range: $29.45-$36.64
