Responsible for the receiving and the application of all cash transactions processed on a daily basis, including but not limited to: preparing and balancing the Hospital’s daily bank deposit and providing customer service assistance to patients and visitors at the Cashier window.

Qualifications and Skills:

*** Minimum of 1 year experience in a business office setting.
* Ability to use office equipment such as calculator, fax, copy machine.
* Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and departments throughout the hospital.
* Proficient computer skills.
* Cash posting experience in a Medical Office Setting
* Knowledge of payer Explanation of Benefits
* Knowledge of 3rd party payment reimbursement
* Previous electronic and manual cash posting experience.
* Previous cash handling experience, balancing end of day
** Preferred

Qualifications and Skills:

*** Medical Billing/ Cash posting experience in a Medical Office Setting.
* Experience in Medical EMR software.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
