Position: Patient Care Liaison - Emergency Department (Per Diem)

Job Summary

Assists by providing general support and comfort needs of patients, families, and visitors; advocates for patients and their families by communicating issues and concerns and seeking resolution through appropriate channels; provides information and/or direction to patients with questions or problems.

Per Diem

Required Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to assist in providing care to patients.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and adaptability skills, creating a favorable image in relationship to the ED and the hospital as a whole.
• Must develop and maintain positive relationships across all areas of responsibility.
• Demonstrate commitment to customer relations and all basic concepts of continuous quality improvement and preventing error from reaching the patient.
• Provides timely, positive responses to the needs of all customers including patients, families, co‑workers, and physicians.

Educational Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent

Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.

Ability to Meet Job Performance Expectations

Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Salary Range

$19.87–$24.23
