Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position in Massachusetts requiring BLS, ACLS, NRP, and relevant AWHONN certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Care for neonate and adult patients
- Infants room-in with mothers; newborn nursery is utilized for infants needing extra care
- Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend
- Uses Omnicell medication system
- SBAR communication method is used
- Provide nursing care during labor and delivery, including care for rooming-in infants and mothers
- Must be able to work collaboratively within the unit and adapt to various patient care needs
- Holiday coverage may be required as per hospital needs
- Charge nurse responsibilities are not required
- Active MA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Beginner certification required; AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate preferred
- First time travelers accepted if experience is adequate
