Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry.
This is a night shift role requiring 12-hour shifts.
The nurse will work in a fast-paced overflow unit, caring for patients in various medical, surgical, and observational settings.
Candidates must have cardiac experience and be familiar with managing dysrhythmias.
The nurse may be required to float between two different units during a shift based on patient needs.
Documentation will be done using a specified electronic health record system.
The nurse will participate in caring for patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5.Weekend coverage will be expected every other weekend.
Candidates should have experience with IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips.
First-time travelers with the required experience and documentation skills will be considered for this position.
The role includes working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
The candidate must be adaptable and prepared for a range of patient diagnoses in the telemetry and overflow units.
