American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring critical care skills and an active MA RN license.

• 14-bed ICU unit at a hospital setting
• Medical patient population including alcohol withdrawal, acute respiratory distress, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, and COVID cases
• Occasional surgical patients including VATS, carotids, and CEAs
• Patient population includes ARDS, ventilated, pressor-dependent, and chest tube patients
• Patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2
• ICU serves as the code team and rapid response team
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Intensivists on staff during day shift, NPs on staff during night shift
• Cerner experience is a plus but not required

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Prior travel nursing experience required

• Provide critical care nursing to medical and occasional post-surgical ICU patients
• Participate in code team and rapid response activities
• Collaborate with intensivists and NPs for patient management
• Return staff must wait a 1-year period before becoming eligible to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
