Food Service Worker; Part Time

Job Summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring immediately for part‑time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions in Cumberland Public Schools. The selected candidate will prepare, present, and serve food, collaborate with kitchen staff, and interact with students in a friendly, efficient manner.

• Location:
  
  Cumberland Public Schools – 2602 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI 02864.
• Schedule:
  
  Part‑time;
  Monday through Friday, hours may vary.
• Requirements:
  Prior cashier experience preferred.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $18.85 per hour.

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
