Seeking a technician to support a vehicle systems program focused on documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and general system support. This role emphasizes electrical systems, wire harnesses, and system-level software rather than traditional mechanical repair. Candidates from automotive, aerospace, medical devices, robotics, or similar technical fields are encouraged to apply, and automotive experience is not required.
Scope- Perform hands‑on inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical systems.
- Read, interpret, and troubleshoot wire harnesses, wiring diagrams, schematics, and pinouts.
- Use OEM or system‑level tools to read diagnostics, logs, and system status and support root cause analysis.
- Navigate documentation and database systems to locate procedures and record results.
- Support system validation activities and assist with issue resolution in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Technician experience in automotive, aerospace, medical devices, robotics, or similar technical fields (automotive experience not required).
- Experience working in a lab or shop environment, including tool and inventory management.
- Comfortable working in a team environment; this is not a solo position.
- Proficiency with hand tools and electrical test equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
- Experience using diagnostic, logging, flashing, or network analysis tools to troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
- Ability to read and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
- Experience troubleshooting vehicle or embedded system software.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, or Ethernet.
- Experience with sensors, calibration, or system validation testing.
