Maintain cleanliness of all plant areas assigned. Train and adjust manpower accordingly.

Responsibilities

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Must comply with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and systems to ensure continual process improvement and effectiveness of our Food Safety Management System; with the ability to satisfy our customers and provide products that are in accordance with their intended use and safe for human consumption.
  • Responsible for maintaining a timely schedule so that all production operations start on time.
  • Responsible for monitoring employees' sanitizing procedures and practices.
  • Responsible for accurate completion of all sanitation documentation.
  • Responsible for maintaining SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS.
  • Responsible for reporting equipment breakdowns to your immediate supervisor or maintenance personnel.
  • Responsible for the proper training of employees.
  • Responsible for assigning workers so that areas are covered.
  • Will need to perform Sanitation worker duties as needed.

Secondary Duties

  • Ensure company rules and policies are followed and enforced.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Forklift driving will be required from time to time (certification required).
  • Assign sanitation workers to production in the event of a breakdown (conveyors stopping, product falling on the floor, etc.).
  • Follow company policies.
  • Follow safety procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Number of employees may vary from 1-30 (Average 15 people).
Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

  • Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two years in sanitation or comparable experience.
  • Previous Forklift experience and High Staking preferred.
  • Must successfully complete forklift evaluation/certification prior to forklift operation.
  • Bilingual desired.
  • Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Education & Certification
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must have dexterity to be able to hold a high pressure hose (750-1000psi) for long periods.
  • Must be able to work with chemicals.
  • Must be able to wear respirator (if needed). Required to pass Respirator Fitness Test.
  • Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements to perform job.
  • Must be able to bend or squat low enough to go under conveyor belts.
Work Environment
  • Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures. Will work around chemicals and in wet and slippery areas.

  • None.
