Delivery Specialist

Join O’Reilly Auto Parts as a Delivery Specialist. The role focuses on delivering automotive parts to professional customers and handling C.O.D. deliveries and returns.

Hourly rate: $16.50 – $24.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform daily inspections, and keep keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies secure.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
• Ensure the fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at the end of the day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist with customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, handling core returns, and other duties as assigned.
• Occasionally serve as a cashier or assist with merchandising tasks when business dictates.

• Required:
  
  Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations; driving record meets the 14/18-point standard; legally required state driver’s license.
• Desired:
  Familiarity with automotive parts; ability to operate other light store equipment; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
