Schedule:

Monday–Friday, Shift starts at 5:00 AM, Full Time

The Driver Container safely operates a heavy‑duy crane‑mounted truck and is responsible for loading, and transporting material containers to/from customer locations. Drivers navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, high‑traffic roadways and may operate in tight overhead environments. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential.

• Operate vehicle in accordance with WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA and DOT requirements and local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of assigned equipment and document checks on standard DVIR.
• Immediately report any unsafe situations or service‑related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by WM or Operations Manager.
• Work closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
• Notify Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Notify Operations Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, street, alleyways or potential safety hazards.
• Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Complete and submit customer tickets as required.
• Conduct site evaluations to ensure locations are conductive for safe and proper servicing.
• Position and/or return container on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids and/or doors are properly replaced, and do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
• Follow route assignments as directed and complete end‑of‑day documentation and the check‑out process.
• Perform all duties as scheduled by Operations Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

• Experience:
  
  One (1) year of relevant work experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.

• Hold a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an air brake endorsement.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
• Complete classroom training and demonstrate safe crane operation. (Some states may require certification.)

• Use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
• Exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds frequently.
• Push, pull, bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds; or pulling up to 50 pounds on wheels.
• Normal setting: outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS‑monitored vehicle.
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.

Base pay rate: $25.20 per hour (range represents a good faith estimate; exact salary may vary based on experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications and work location).
