We are currently seeking a
Sr. Supply Continuity Manager for our
Auburn Hills, Michigan
facility.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Continuity Manager is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials, components, and products through proactive risk identification, mitigation, and recovery planning across the supply base. This role partners closely with Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Production, and Program Management teams to safeguard supply continuity during disruptions, capacity constraints, or quality events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supply Risk Management
    • Monitor, assess, and report supply risks related to supplier capacity, financial stability, logistics, geopolitical events, and quality performance.
    • Develop, maintain, and continuously update a Supplier Risk Dashboard.
    • Lead early warning processes to detect and elevate potential shortages or disruptions.
  • Crisis & Recovery Management
    • Serve as the lead during significant supplier disruptions, shortages, or force majeure events.
    • Ensure Supplier Recovery Plans created and executed (including expedited logistics).
    • Facilitate cross-functional communication across functions.
    • Travel and support as necessary to crisis supplier locations
  • Partner with Supplier Quality, Purchasing, and Program Teams to ensure suppliers have robust business continuity and capacity plans in place.
  • Audit and verify supplier capacity and/or tooling.
  • Drive implementation of preventive measures such as supplier localization and buffer stock strategies.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Alignment
    • Act as the communication link between suppliers, internal teams, and leadership during continuity challenges.
    • Provide executive updates and risk summaries on critical supply issues.
    • Lead alignment meetings with purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics functions to ensure continuity priorities are met.
  • Analyze root causes of past supply disruptions to drive systemic improvements.
  • Establish Supply Continuity KPIs (e.g., number of high-risk suppliers, production days lost, etc…).
  • Promote a culture of proactive risk management, resilience, and accountability across the supply base.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, supplier quality, procurement, or risk management.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using ERP and risk monitoring tools.
    • Proven experience managing supplier crises, capacity planning, and continuity recovery actions.
    • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
    • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and supplier development processes (preferred).
    • Willingness to travel 50-75% (Including occasional weekends during critical supplier disruptions.
