LocationThis position will be based at the Borg Warner Arden facility in Western North Carolina and will transition to a new facility in Hendersonville, NC or this position can be based at the Borg Warner facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

The Senior Sales Account Manager – Industrial Solutions is responsible for driving growth and market expansion for Borg Warner’s industrial solutions in the US market. This role requires deep industrial knowledge, strategic vision, and the ability to increase customer diversity and penetrate new markets.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies for the US industrial solutions market.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new market opportunities, partnerships, and diverse customer segments to drive revenue growth.
- Expand Borg Warner’s presence in new and existing markets, with a focus on increasing customer diversity and market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and product development.
- Work closely with Market Research Team to identify, anticipate and define strategies to deal with market trends.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, KPIs, and new business metrics, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Apply advanced product knowledge, including design, specifications, applications, and system integration, to support customer solutions.
- Drive a flexible, responsive culture able to adapt quickly to dynamic customer needs and market forces.
- Champion Borg Warner’s values and sales career competencies, including priority setting, motivating others, process management, decision quality, ethics and values, customer focus, problem solving, drive for results, and business acumen.
- Use data and analytics to identify opportunities for new business.
- Understand key drivers of program financials.
- Escalate and drive issues appropriately (both internally and externally) to secure the necessary support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development and sales within the industrial sector.
- Proven track record of market expansion, customer diversity initiatives, and strategic sales leadership.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics as they relate to program and business performance.
