We’re seeking a Development Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI, to be part of a collaborative, forward‑thinking team shaping the next generation of vehicles and world‑class powertrain systems.
Pay: $42.67/hr.
Schedule:
6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Design, build, and test wiring harnesses for engines, transmissions, and electrified powertrains.
- Organize and oversee in‑house and supplier‑built harnesses, verifying accuracy and functionality.
- Troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain inventory control.
- Collaborate with product development engineers, technicians, and suppliers.
- Document designs and maintain the drawing database.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering.
- 2+ years of relevant wiring harness or automotive electrical experience.
- Hands‑on knowledge of wiring requirements (current, voltage, grounding, shielding, twisted wiring).
- Ability to guide technicians, multitask, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office or Google Suite.
- Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience.
- Experience with automotive instrumentation wiring, data acquisition, and dynamometer operations.
- Background in hybrid/electric powertrain systems.
