The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for program management throughout the entire product life cycle (from pre‑acquisition through end of production); providing customer acquisition support for new programs; leading program‑related communications, and taking full program management ownership of related activities performed by multi‑disciplined cross‑functional teams. Primary objective s are to manage timing, quality, and financial results of programs from start to finish, to enthusiastically engage the customer with the performance of the product and the services provided, and to deliver business results that meet or exceed Magna’s expectations for awarded programs.

The individual must possess 3+ years of program management experience with a verifiable record of results within the automotive industry along with a strong technical background that may include knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, electrification products & components (including ASPICE, Functional Safety and Cyber Security) and a good understanding of cross‑functional responsibilities.

• Primary point of communication interface to the customer for the respective program(s).
• Possesses interpersonal skills to build relationships with key customer contacts responsible for decision‑making. Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns; understands the customer’s business and speaks their language; develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
• Supports preparation and business case review of quotations for customers; fosters quotes that target profitable and/or strategic business opportunities, performs contract reviews when awarded, and conducts lessons‑learned analyses for lost business opportunities.
• Aligns cohesively with Global Product Managers, Product Engineering, and Sales by providing customer feedback on products, features and competitive information within the respective product group.
• Owns program management through the complete product life cycle from concept, quoting, program award, product development, supplier selection, launch, post‑production performance and lessons‑learned, utilizing the Magna Electronics Product Delivery Process.
• Prepares and communicates program status meetings to management steering committee and escalates critical issues.
• Coordinates / monitors project documentation, timelines, technical performance, budget (including expense, tooling, capital), production, quality deliverables, corrective action initiatives, conducts risk analyses, and implements required counter‑actions.
• Provides full program management ownership of program‑related functional activities such as quoting, purchasing, product engineering, quality, manufacturing / launch management, and achievement of program budgets & financial targets.
• Leads global Change Management System through an understanding of design, specs, costs and timing, ensuring due dates are met.
• Manages Series Production Phase including claims management, change management & continuous improvement, VA/VE activities, and execution of ongoing price negotiations / adjustments.
