Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. C2C arrangements are not available.

We’re hiring a Fuel Systems Design Release Engineer to support North American vehicle programs for a major automotive OEM.

Fuel tanks are the primary focus. You’ll work closely with suppliers, validation labs, program teams, and manufacturing plants to take components through development, testing, and production release.

In this role, you will:

  • Support fuel tank and related fuel-system component design, development, and release.
  • Coordinate APQP activities and support DVP&R testing and validation.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues and meet program requirements.
  • Support prototype builds, production launches, and manufacturing concerns.
  • Investigate quality and warranty issues and help implement improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and weight while maintaining performance.
  • Communicate component status, technical concerns, and project progress to stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Approximately 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
  • Direct automotive fuel-system experience, with fuel tank experience strongly preferred.
  • Design Release, Product, or Component Engineering experience.
  • An understanding of APQP and experience supporting product validation or DVP&R activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage work independently.
  • Experience communicating with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel domestically up to 20%.

Additional experience we’d value includes:

  • Injection molding or blow molding.
  • DFMEA, GD&T, or Design for Six Sigma.
  • NX, Teamcenter, or similar engineering systems.
  • OEM or Tier 1 fuel-system development and production support.
