Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

Must reside in the SE Michigan area. Working on site based out of Auburn Hills, MI. There will be 80% travel
- North America, Canada and Mexico (travel minimum once a month).

This role is responsible for ensuring suppliers consistently meet quality, delivery, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives that support exceptional customer service and parts availability.

This position requires a strong hands-on presence at supplier sites and close collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Service Parts Planning, Distribution Centers, and Warranty teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2-3 years of experience in:
• • Supplier Quality
  • Quality Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Operations Quality
  • Automotive Quality or related disciplines
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time to supplier locations.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Business process optimization experience.
• Experience analyzing and improving quality aspects of manufacturing or operational processes.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present data and problem-solving results to all levels of an organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook
