Prototype Build Engineer Address:
Auburn Hills, MI
Job Description:
- Lead part procurement activities for prototype builds.
- Resolve supplier-related issues across multiple vehicle programs.
- Provide design support to ensure prototype components meet specifications and function properly during builds.
- Create Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Develop process sheets/work instructions that guide build operators on proper component installation.
- Support prototype builds on the production floor.
- Troubleshoot fitment issues and electrical component concerns during vehicle builds.
- Hybrid work environment and typical shift hours.
- Supportive of compliance and submission standards.
- Environment involves collaboration on prototype vehicle builds.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Training available in NX/CAD review, but experience preferred.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with company match is available after 1 year of service.
