Job Purpose

The Financial Manager for PHINIA’s Aftermarket segment is responsible for driving financial performance through strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports decision-making, and partners with cross-functional teams to optimize profitability and operational efficiency across the aftermarket business.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Review of monthly forecasts and annual budgets; monitor and analyze financial performance and variances, proactively identifying opportunities and making recommendations to address challenges.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and analyze all regional financial reporting related to actuals, forecast, and budget.
  • Review and distribute financial reporting to assist management to track sales, revenue, gross margin, and OI by product lines and by customer.
  • Oversee business case financial analysis on different customer opportunities presented by the sales team and help present to senior management.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Ensure compliance with PHINIA internal controls, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform financial analysis and assist both the finance and accounting teams with ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and revenue growth.
  • Supervise and mentor finance staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CFA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Quick Books, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
