We are looking for a Plant Controller to be the financial leader of a manufacturing facility, partnering with plant management to drive performance, improve profitability, and support strategic growth. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organization, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making and lead a dedicated finance team.
Salary: $115k-$120k + bonus
What You’ll Do- Act as the financial business partner to plant leadership, providing insights that drive results.
- Lead annual budget development and monthly forecasting, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Manage plant-level reporting, including daily and weekly performance metrics, variance analysis, and operational KPIs.
- Oversee cost accounting, product costing, and profitability analysis to support pricing and quoting decisions.
- Develop capital investment business cases (NPV, IRR, payback) to guide strategic initiatives.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Coordinate audits and maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, and corporate policies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a strong, engaged finance team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and internal controls.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- ERP system experience (SAP Mandatory).
- Advanced Excel skills with a strong analytical mindset.
- Hands‑on experience with reconciliations and closing processes.
- MBA with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Knowledge of activity‑based costing and profitability modeling.
- Experience with financial consolidation tools (e.g., HFM).
