NTT DATA is looking for a Senior Python Lead and Developer to join our team at Auburn Hills. This role involves driving major data engineering initiatives and leading a team in the Data & Advanced Analytics space.

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark for batch and streaming workloads
• Build, schedule, and monitor complex workflows using Airflow
• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects using Git Hub, Docker, and cloud‑native solutions
• Apply test‑driven development practices and automate unit/integration tests for data pipelines
• Implement secure coding best practices across the development lifecycle
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Data Architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including process/data flow diagrams and system design artifacts
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on coding, testing, and deployment best practices
• Analyze and resolve technical issues across the data stack, including pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks

• 8+ years of production‑grade data pipeline development using Python and Py Spark
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing Airflow DAGs in enterprise environments
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows with automated testing and deployment
• Hands‑on expertise with Docker, GCP, and cloud‑native solutions; appreciation for twelve‑factor design principles
• Strong object‑oriented Python skills, dependency management, and industry best practices
• Proficiency with Git for source code management and collaboration (Git Hub/Git Lab workflows)
• 5+ years of Unix/Linux experience and strong command‑line skills
• 5+ years of SQL experience and solid understanding of SQL for data ingestion and analysis
• Comfortable with code reviews, pair programming, and remote collaboration tools
• Engineering mindset focused on maintainable, testable code

Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• High tolerance for Open Shift, Cloudera, Tableau, Confluence, Jira, and other enterprise tools
