Job Summary

The IT Administrator II is responsible for the identification, implementation, and security of effective and reliable information technology systems to maximize business productivity for all business units. They would also be responsible for supporting engineering and development software support.

Essential Functions
  • Work with IT management to ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Maintain software and hardware systems that integrate all company software, hardware and telecommunication systems and ensures optimal uptime performance.
  • Inventory management including company hardware, and software licensing tracking.
  • Familiarity with a Windows/AZURE Active Directory environment including user, group and licensing.
  • Provide support to Engineering Systems applications as required.
  • Provide Help desk support for software and hardware related issues to all group users and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Assists with research and evaluation of new technologies, techniques, threat control and best practices to optimize efficiency and usability and minimize vulnerabilities.
  • Creates, organizes, and updates documentation of IT processes, policies, licensing and systems.
  • Presents IT equipment and policy training to staff as required.
  • Windows and ESX Server management including but not limited to networking, disk management, security, AV and vulnerability management, and other IT administrative functions.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze and detect issues related to network, servers, and other related IT issues as they relate to established standards. Also recommends any enhancements to improve operations for increased stability and system capabilities.
  • Performs any software or hardware improvements and customized upgrades to adapt existing programs to meet user and business requirements.
  • Assists with onboarding of new users including collecting requirements, setup and deployment.
  • Support Engineering and Development software to ensure digital thread continuity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Familiarity with imaging software.
  • Familiarity with general networking knowledge (TCP/IP, subnets) and wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge of various hardware and software products, including ERP, JIRA, GIT, etc.
  • Technical experience in Local Area and Wide Area Networks, wireless network technologies.
  • Windows Client and Server knowledge.
  • Microsoft Power Apps knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and good communication skills.
  • VMWare usability and knowledge.
  • Patience while supporting users and managing multiple project demands.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, and work independently to meet performance expectations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Project software.
  • Ability to be on‑call to ensure optimal up‑time for company systems, including early mornings, nights or weekends as needed.
  • Cyber‑Security knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of NIST‑171 cybersecurity requirements.
  • CISSP or equivalent security certification a plus.
  • Ability to gain USG Clearance a plus.
Education
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
  • IT Industry certifications a plus (A+, Network+ or SEC+).
Experience
  • 3 years minimum experience working in an Information Technology department.
  • Experience in information systems selection and implementation processes.
