.NET Applications Consultant

Acts as a team leader or senior technical team member in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting complex to moderately complex processes, systems, or networks. Serves as an expert in one or more technical specialties or mission-critical application systems, providing leadership in design, development, and application integration. Ensures that functional and technical designs meet customer requirements. Understands the Auto Club Group's business strategy and translates it into technology solutions.

Offers technical and application expertise, leading design and programming efforts. Assists the Security team with audit controls and procedures to protect company resources. Develops work plans, estimates projects, and ensures that team deliverables stay on schedule and within budget.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in designing, developing, implementing, or supporting complex information systems.
• Experience with mainframe or distributed systems.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex business/technical problems.
• Experience in technology assessment, recommendation, and selection.
• Technical leadership and consultation skills.
• Experience leading large or multiple small project teams.
• Budgeting and expense management skills.
• Experience with mainframe, distributed, and web-based system design and development.
• Knowledge of database systems (IMS, DB, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server).
• Proficiency with PC software tools (e.g., MS Office).
• Programming skills in COBOL, JAVA, HTML, XML, C++.
• Prototyping experience.
• Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
• Multi-platform development capabilities.
• Web development and integration skills.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Relational database concepts.
• Use case development, object-oriented design and programming.
• Systems operation practices.
• Security and control procedures.
• Web server and IP-level distributed technologies.
• Understanding complex system inter-dependencies.
