Overview
As a Planning Subject Matter Expert at our Auburn Hills, MI facility
, you will serve as the go-to resource for all planning system tools and processes. You’ll provide advanced support, training, and guidance to ensure data integrity, optimize planning workflows, and drive continuous improvement. Your expertise will help maintain corporate consistency and enhance operational efficiency across the Materials department.
This role is based on-site at our Auburn Hills, MI facility.
Responsibilities- Provide plant-level support for all planning system tools and related issues.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.
- Deliver training for new hires, new functionality, and system upgrades.
- Coordinate ongoing training and workshops with the SAP Competency Center.
- Document business processes, policies, and work instructions.
- Assist in testing, validation, and rollout of new functionality, including plant-level training.
- Perform daily database refreshes and maintain data integrity across all planning systems.
- Create and maintain reports using Excel, SAP, Power BI, and Rapid Response.
- Track and maintain planning metrics weekly; identify trends and improvement areas.
- Prepare and present monthly PowerPoint updates on processes, tools, metrics, and SAP features.
- Manage Service Now help desk tickets for all functional groups within the plant.
- Adhere to all safety, health, and security policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities but requires strong collaboration and influence across multiple functional teams.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Professional certifications such as APICS or NAPM preferred.
- SAP experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of planning systems and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and deliver effective training programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI, and reporting tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
