Quality Iteration Technician

SUMMARY:Perform quality activities within projects to ensure that program deliverables are accomplished within the allocated time frame.

• Data collection and entry of quality measurements into standardized engineering workbooks.
• Perform tooling validation, surface quality reviews, and tool repeatability to ensure completion of the validation process.
• Responsible for driving dimensional quality for Body and General Assembly parts and subassemblies in launch/steady state production while ensuring target metrics are met.
• Perform troubleshooting / root cause analysis to correct quality and dimensional problems quickly and effectively.
• Recommend tooling changes and adjustments to help support and improve the build process.
• Provide status reports to project personnel as requested and ensure activities meet programing timing.
• Continually strive to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety (QDCS).
• In compliance with customer requirements, ensure safety protocols are being met.
• Communicates with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Responsible for Quality Iteration panel/material control.
• Shim log management.
• Participate in and support 5S, QS, Kaizen and lean manufacturing activities.
• QI Responsibilities as outlined in department flow chart, other duties and projects may be assigned.

• High school Diploma or GED
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Candidate will be regularly required to stand and lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to travel 70-90% (local or national may be required - any travel is company compensated)
• Active Driver's License
• ** THIS JOB REQUIRES A HIGH LEVEL OF TRAVEL, WHERE THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO BE AWAY FROM HOME UP TO 2 WEEKS AT A TIME FOR PROLONGED PERIODS.**
• Ability to work weekends, overtime, and rotating shifts

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understanding of Body-In-White system processes
