Overview

AUBURN HILLS, MI - Material Handler - 1st Shift (Work 4 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday)

Bluebird Turf, a division of Metalcraft of Mayville, specializes in personal lawn care equipment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the material handler will handle shipping and receiving duties along with supplying our assembly build lines with materials.

• Following FIFO instructions on all products
• Loads, unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand
• Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using forklift, hand truck, electric dolly or other device
• Will operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Required to fill out a daily inspection before starting up the forklift
• Assists with routine or general housekeeping tasks as they relate to the plants 6s plan
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards
• Use of ERP computer system (SAP) for processing of materials
• Other duties as assigned.

• Physical Activity:
  Lift/Carry 25 lbs routinely, 50 lbs occasionally
• Push/Pull: 25 lbs routinely, 50 lbs occasionally
• Reach Overhead: required; note that this position requires someone to be on their feet for the majority of the shift. There may be occasions when an employee needs to sit down to log information in the computer system.
