Overview
Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (Based in Poland) at American Rheinmetall. The Manufacturing Project Lead is responsible for leading a cross functional team of manufacturing operations personnel in support of various programs with ownership of cost and schedule. The role may support one or more programs and report to the Manufacturing Program Manager.
Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Project Lead will lead a cross functional team, manage cost and schedule, and ensure program status is communicated to program managers, manufacturing leadership, and customers.
Essential Functions- Manages the proposal, execution, and closure of Projects.
- Responsible for preparing manufacturing bids for new business proposals and/or requests for information.
- Develop, maintain and lead a team to execute manufacturing and material schedules.
- Manage manufacturing cost accounts; report findings of earned value data.
- Support material management and manufacturing support staff.
- Communicate program status to program managers, manufacturing, business leadership and customers.
- Implements new manufacturing systems including generating supporting operational documentation.
- Develop and monitor budget requirements; control expenditures to meet approved budgets (direct/indirect salary, indirect non-salary, capital expenditure).
- Ensure American Rheinmetall policies are practiced by all personnel; make recommendations and implement procedures to improve quality.
- Assist engineering and plants in the evaluation of new manufacturing systems.
- Interface with engineering departments, quality control, manufacturing, purchasing or other groups as required to complete project plans.

- Ability to be primary point of contact for cost/schedule performance and resource data management
- Ability to maintain capital equipment and overhead budget requirements
- Ability to coordinate designs with manufacturing engineering to ensure practicality and assist in solving production difficulties
- Ability to review and approve specifications and drawings for technical accuracy
- Ability to assist in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical designs to drive producibility and cost reduction principles
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business Administration
- 5-7 years of relevant experience. Automotive and ground combat vehicle experience.
- Experience working in DoD and/or Military Operations required
- Experience working as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Must undergo and meet company standards for background checks, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering/Operations and/or Master’s in Business Administration
- 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Project Management Professional (PMP)

Location note:
The position is expected to onboard at an American Rheinmetall location and transition into primarily being located in Warsaw, Poland, for an 18+ month assignment, with some activities in the United States as required.
