Location:

Auburn Hills

Shifts needed:
Night – Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m.–2:45 a.m.;
Saturday 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. (Hours may vary depending on department).

• Set‑up and operate CNC machines to produce custom tooling/parts using various materials, ensuring adherence to customer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and replace any tool heads as needed.
• Load raw materials into CNC machines to produce parts.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
• Monitor machine operation to detect any problems or errors, and make recommendations.
• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations, including appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Inspect finished products using precision measuring equipment (calipers, gauges, and micrometers) to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications.
• Document and report any issues or irregularities that may arise during the machining process.
• Collaborate with other machinists and team members to troubleshoot and solve production issues.
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and experience to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Must be able to achieve quality and production goals.
• Use hand tools, inspection tools, and machinery as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Experience with CNC machines, specifically 3‑ and 5‑axis.
• Attention to detail, quality, and safety mindset.
• Basic blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Understanding of the relationship of speeds and feeds with various materials.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction and work as a team.
• Must have the ability to operate industrial trucks and overhead cranes.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job – standing for long periods, lifting loads up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, twisting.
