Lids Sports Group is the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, selling fan and fashion-oriented headwear and apparel across the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. Operating out of Indianapolis, IN, our retail stores offer officially licensed headwear and apparel from collegiate and professional sports teams, plus top brands like Nike, New Era, Adidas, and Mitchell & Ness. We currently operate 1,200+ locations domestically and 50+ internationally, including specialty concept stores for the NBA, NHL, Paris Saint-Germain, and numerous MLB teams.

In recent years, Lids has built partnerships with iconic global brands including Marvel, Playboy, and the Harlem Globetrotters, and gained ambassadors like Justin Jefferson, Quavo, and Josephine Skriver – creating a community for both sports fans and fashion lovers. The company is currently expanding with the goal of becoming the largest licensed brick‑and‑mortar sports retailer across the globe.

General Position Summary
  • Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
  • Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics.
  • Provide consistent, documented appraisal of associate sales performance and give feedback on strengths and opportunities while aligning with company objectives.
  • Adhere to visual guidelines, proper merchandising, signage and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce sales gains by providing customer service.
  • Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics.
  • Provide consistent, documented appraisal of associate sales performance and give feedback on strengths and opportunities while aligning with company objectives.
  • Adhere to visual guidelines, proper merchandising, signage and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.

Control Expenses

  • Protect company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
  • Assist in preparation of store schedules that provide proper coverage and adhere to wage control guidelines.
  • Follow policies to accurately manage store inventory, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record keeping per LIDS Retail policies and applicable laws.
  • Open and close the store per the Operations P&P Manual.
  • Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in LIDS Training Programs and achieve sales and task goals.
  • Recruit and train store personnel on proper operations and procedures.
  • Encourage store associates to comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines, including safekeeping of inventory, funds and property.
  • Perform work of subordinates as needed.
  • Communicate with employees at all levels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with computer and related software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and work overhead.
  • Stand for up to 100% of the work time.
  • Work unsupervised.
Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills

Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Assistant Store Managers PT are also available for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
