Chemist

Job Description:

• Vehicle Emissions Lab. Chemist, The Chemist will perform liquid chromatograph analysis (carbonyl analysis from vehicle exhaust) and perform gas chromatograph analysis (hydrocarbon speciation, fuel dilution in engine oil, etc.).

• Conducting various fuel analysis (fuel composition, heating value, distillation points)
• Managing fuel inventory and fuel ordering
• Perform maintenance and calibration on various instruments (all kinds of instruments in emissions lab, not limited to chemical instruments)
• Support testing operation and trouble shoot instrument problems
• Develop new chemical analysis when there are new emissions testing needs

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in chemistry analysis with liquid chromatograph and gas chromatograph
• General understanding of vehicle powertrain and exhaust after treatment
• Experience with vehicle emissions testing and with conventional emission analyzers (HC, CO, CO2, NOx and CH4)
• Team player with good communication skills
• Dedicated and well organized

• Master's degree in Chemistry

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry
