Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Controls Service Technician in Auburn Hills MI. Our client is an Automation company. The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining customer machines and traveling to and from each client site in order to fix any issues they may have.

• Install, maintain and repair machine tooling and mechanics, electronics and pneumatics
• Ensure customer satisfaction through service excellence
• Provide customer training and start-up support
• Identify, analyze, and repair equipment failures
• Strategically promote, educate and market products and services to customers
• Travel overnight as required by workload to complete service calls outside of normal geographic location

• Have at least 5-10 years experience working as a Machine Electrician and/or Field Service Technician

• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
• Engineering Technology, equivalent military education or Associates Degree with 2 years of experience servicing industrial equipment, or a High School Diploma/GED and 5 or more years of experience servicing industrial equipment.
• Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment
• Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns. 3-5 years in the practical application of electronics and technology 3-5 years of design, build or troubleshooting of pneumatic and/or hydraulic assembly machinery preferred
• Knowledge of servo motors and drives
• Up to 80% travel
