Overview
Do you take pride in providing a clean and flawless painting experience for clients? We’re hiring a reliable and process-driven painter who is comfortable talking with clients to understand their needs. Our painters perform a variety of duties, including scaffold assembly, sanding down old paint, filling in drywall holes, mixing paint, and painting interior or exterior walls. Our ideal candidate has previous work experience as a house and industrial painter and is comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools to get the job done.

- Erect scaffolding when required
- Match and mix paint to job specifications
- Apply primer or sealers to paint surfaces
- Prepare surfaces for painting by filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding
- Communicate with clients to determine their needs and advise them on the right approach
- Protect trim, floors, fixtures, and furniture from paint using drop cloths and covers
- Repair small drywall patches
- Maintain a neat and tidy work area
- 2+ years work experience and completed apprenticeship is preferred, but not required
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- Candidates should have strong time management, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Stamina, standing for long periods of time, dexterity, and physical strength is required
- Knowledge of basic painting materials and tools is preferred, but we will provide training
- Must live within 50 miles of Auburn Hills, Michigan, to be considered for this position
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional painting experience (residential and/or commercial preferred)
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and proper use of brushes, rollers, and sprayers
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and scaffolding
- Experience with drywall patching, sanding, caulking, taping, and priming surfaces
- Understanding of different paint types and finishes, including interior/exterior applications
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to follow job site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and coworkers
