Description
Field Service TechnicianWe are a medium-sized international company that is driven by engineering. We integrate our standard products into custom systems for various assembly functions to accommodate our customers in automotive, appliance, aerospace, medical and various other industries.
The Field Service Technician provides technical service, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK systems, including mechanical presses, servo drives, controls, and joining equipment. This role requires hands‑on mechanical and electrical expertise, customer support skills, and the ability to travel to customer sites across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Key Responsibilities- Install, commission, and service TOX® systems including presses, drives, tool changers, and joining technology.
- Diagnose and solve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on customer equipment.
- Train customer personnel on the safe and proper use of TOX® machinery.
- Support integration of TOX® systems with automation and production lines.
- Document service work, including reports, troubleshooting steps, and parts usage.
- Provide technical feedback to engineering and product teams for continuous improvement.
- Uphold TOX® safety, quality, and customer service standards while on‑site.

RequirementsJob Requirements
Strong background in controls/electrical systems with additional mechanical knowledge.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
Experience with industrial automation, servo drives, PLCs, and HMIs preferred.
Excellent problem‑solving and customer service skills.
Ability to travel frequently across North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico).
Valid passport (or ability to obtain one).
Hands‑on mindset with strong communication and documentation skills.
Prior experience in industrial machinery, automation, or press systems is highly valued.
No degree required; technical training or proven field experience strongly preferred.
