We are seeking a Senior Telematics Engineer with strong experience in connected vehicle systems, telematics ECUs, cellular connectivity, vehicle networks, diagnostics, and cloud-connected automotive applications. The candidate will support design, integration, testing, and validation of next-generation connected vehicle features.
We are seeking a Senior Telematics Engineer with strong experience in connected vehicle systems, telematics ECUs, cellular connectivity, vehicle networks, diagnostics, and cloud-connected automotive applications. The candidate will support design, integration, testing, and validation of next-generation connected vehicle features.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, integrate, and validate automotive telematics systems.
- Work with Telematics Control Units (TCUs), gateways, and connected vehicle ECUs.
- Analyze communication between vehicle ECUs, TCU, cloud platforms, and mobile applications.
- Validate cellular connectivity including 4G/5G technologies.
- Work with CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, MQTT, TCP/IP, and other communication protocols.
- Perform TCU and vehicle-level functional and integration testing.
- Develop and execute test cases for connected vehicle features.
- Analyse vehicle logs, network traces, and telematics data.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, communication, diagnostic, and integration issues.
- Work with OTA software update and remote vehicle functionality.
- Support UDS diagnostics and ECU communication.
- Collaborate with embedded software, cloud, mobile, cybersecurity, and vehicle engineering teams.
- Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex telematics issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- 7+ years of automotive engineering experience with significant telematics/connected vehicle experience.
- Strong experience with TCU/telematics systems.
- Strong knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, and UDS.
- Experience with MQTT, TCP/IP, HTTP/REST, or similar communication protocols.
- Experience with 4G/5G cellular connectivity.
- Strong experience with CANoe/CANalyzer or equivalent tools.
- Experience with Python, CAPL, or other automation languages.
- Strong troubleshooting and vehicle-level debugging skills.
- Experience with ECU integration and validation.
- Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
- Experience with OTA updates.
- Experience with cloud-connected vehicle architectures.
- Experience with Android Automotive or embedded Linux.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as secure communication and authentication.
- Experience with Jenkins/CI-CD.
- AUTOSAR knowledge.
- Experience with MQTT and cloud IoT platforms.
- Experience leading technical investigations and mentoring engineers.
