About the PositionThe Superintendent – Commercial/Light Industrial Construction will be responsible for the day-to-day onsite management of commercial and light industrial construction projects in the Auburn, AL area. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong field experience, the ability to coordinate subcontractors effectively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities- Lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Conduct daily site meetings and maintain clear communication with project managers and stakeholders
- Enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with all OSHA standards
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports
- Identify and address issues proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial or light industrial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and job site coordination
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Proven leadership and communication skills on active job sites
- Commitment to safety, quality, and team collaboration
- Proficiency in construction software tools is a plus (e.g., Procore, Plan Grid)
- Base salary starting at $80,000
