The Student Assistant (Department of Human Services) works with Auburn University Outreach's Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI) to support professional training courses, conferences and workshops. This role helps with preparing materials, organizing supplies, and assisting with online and in-person training logistics. This is a great opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in event support, office operations, and training coordination.
Responsibilities- Photocopy, print, and assemble course packets and training resources.
- Assist with grading course exams and processing participant evaluations.
- Track, organize, and restock training supplies.
- Support mass mailing and maintain training-related data and records.
- Assist with Canvas course pagers and hybrid or online course setup.
- Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as needed.
- Enrolled student at Auburn University
- Ability to work 15 hours per week during normal work hours
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively while meeting deadlines on multiple projects
- Adobe Proficiency
