Systems Engineer, Software Engineer
The CEES Cost Engineer will be responsible for the cost evaluation of different software platforms and their evolution. Understanding the development road map (the design, code, build and platforming of the applications) is very important to the role.
The Cost Engineer will assist the worldwide team challenging the internal SW team with best practices and design to cost enablers and compare the internal/external quotations supporting the make or buy strategy and builds of the systems.
Cost Engineer responsibilities will include analyzing the development steps, designing workflows and production processes of the supply base. The Embedded Software Architecture Cost Engineer will assist the worldwide teams with technical services to estimate ED&D costs for the development and modification of a variety of electronic modules.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:- Research relevant market trends, industrial standards, and innovations
- Build and maintain techno-economical competencies for Software Architecture
- Build the techno-economical assessment reference for programing development (Cost Breakdown)
- Build and maintain Model Plant database
- Evaluate and negotiate the NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) with Suppliers & ED&D
- Contribute to specification and design of future Stellantis’s software system
- Work with Suppliers and solution providers to influence and align their future roadmap with Stellantis to ensure the competitiveness of Stellantis’ Solution
- Multicultural environment covering worldwide perimeter
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related scientific field
- 5+ years of experience in the Automotive or Software industry
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create high quality presentation materials and reports for presentation to management levels
- Proficient in MS Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Ability to interface with all levels of the enterprise, across multiple organizations and regions
- Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related scientific field
- 10+ years of experience in Semiconductor industry
- High skills in software architecture: real time architecture, RTOS, ARM, BSP, Middleware, Autosar, IVI application Software, Safety & Security, Kernel, Multi Media, AI Features, QNX
- Ability to interface with all levels of the enterprise, across multiple organizations and regions Working knowledge of Automotive Electronic Components or systems
- Familiarity with Cost Model elements and how to apply Activity Based Costing to component cost development
