Environmental Scientist - Air Testing Specialist
This entry-level role is part of our Integrated Air Services (IAS) Group. Weston’s IAS team conducts testing projects to assist clients in emissions testing and demonstrating emissions compliance with industry-specific regulations set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 40 – Protection of Environment. Projects typically involve measuring air emissions directly from industrial sources and/or the ambient air in the vicinity using state-of-the-art instrumentation housed in mobile laboratories.
LocationAuburn, AL
Expected Outcomes- Perform scientific emissions testing procedures utilizing EPA or ASTM Test Methodologies.
- Work safely in a positive enterprise and team environment.
- Travel up to 80%, primarily within the Southeast Region, with potential assignments in other U.S. regions. Typically away Monday through Friday, with all travel expenses covered by the company.

- BS or AS degree in Environmental Science, Physical Science, or Engineering preferred. Technical high school graduates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- Testing experience is a plus but not required; on‑the‑job technical and safety training provided.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to learn technical sampling techniques, work with a team, work outdoors at elevation, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
Salary Range: $40,590–$53,198–$65,703
