The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure-track Lecturer in Speech-Language Pathology position.

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and has over 350 undergraduate majors, 50 graduate majors in speech-language pathology, and 40 doctor of audiology students. Presently, the department has 21 full-time faculty positions. (12 PhD, 3 AuD, and 6 Master’s level.) The department offers the following degrees: the Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Science, a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology, a professional Doctor of Audiology degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences.

The primary responsibility of this position is teaching undergraduate coursework. Additional responsibilities include graduate clinical education and supervision, evaluation of student performance, undergraduate program coordination, and other clinical or service assignments based on departmental needs. The candidate is also expected to participate in departmental committees and engage in clinically-related professional activities, including innovative clinical program development and representation of the department at local, regional, and national levels.

Meet ASHA certification standards for clinical instruction, including but not limited to a Master’s degree at the time employment in speech-language pathology, CCC-SLP, 3-5 years of clinical experience, clinical supervision experience, and potential for Alabama license.

Desired qualifications:
Undergraduate teaching experience and clinical supervision of graduate students.
